A gritty, female crime drama
SYNOPSIS
In 1973 Meredith Bell hitches a ride from her sister in law, Sarah Delano to a desert motel
where she plans to avenge her husbands murder. Her crusade takes a turn when the women
find themselves in a motel room with cartel matriarch, Ruth and an offbeat mob moll, Bunny.
Tensions rise as Bunny stirs the pot and Meredith presses for answers. Ruth plans her next
move while Sarah’s main concern is getting the car back on time to her husband, Donnie.
Secrets unfold, digging up buried wounds from the past. Embittered and angry, the women
hold each other hostage in the room. As the sun sets, they will have to decide how far they’ll
go to save the life they’re living and what sacrifices they are willing to make in order to get out
of the room alive.
Meet the Team
Danielle Reid began making films as a child with her parent’s Hi-8 camera and an involuntary cast of her cousins and siblings. She studied film theory at the UCSB and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University. She has written and directed several short films, including her most recent sci-fi drama "Therapy" to be released later this year. She loves film because it is a unique way to convey character perspectives and timeless storytelling. Four Widows will be her first feature film.
Jennifer Skiffington is an American actress, musician and producer from Northwest Washington. Her diverse work spans film, television and the stage. Inspired to tell compelling stories, and motivated to work with like minded creative teams, she often finds herself working with cast and crew's made up predominantly of strong women. She has also worked as a playwright, performing twice at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland most recently with her original musical play These Streets in 2019. Her short film Desert Bloom produced by Palm Tree & Productions will be making the festival circuit run in 2023 which will be her directorial debut.
